Gryffindor head of house
Unbeknownst to students, Lucien Rosier had held the position of Gryffindor Head of House since last term and, though the aid of Polyjuice Potion, had simply been masquerading around as our beloved Headmaster Trent. Upon revealing himself at the opening feast this term, Rosier continued to maintain the post - much to the dismay of all of Gryffindor house. With the head of the Neo-Alliance as a Head of House, Gryffindor house students felt even more endangered and isolated and were forced to turn to other professors and Hogwarts staff when guidance or any sort of talk was desired. Rosier fell in the battle that took place at Hogwarts in the early morning of May 10, 2104 and left all Gryffindors hopeful that Headmaster Trent would recover from his war injuries and return to them come fall.
hufflepuff head of house
One thing is true of all the professors who work at this school - and that is that they would do ANYTHING for their students. In the course of protecting her students and saving the school, we unfortunately lost one of our beloved staff members. Cassiopeia Kitridge tragically gave her life fighting against the Neo-Alliance, falling victim to a Killing Curse at the Stone Bridge during the fight.
She will always be remembered for her upbeat energy (and all the snapping!) as well as her love for Divination, Hufflepuff house and her students. She leaves behind her husband, Leobald Kitridge, and her two children, Jackson and Gemma.
How can we say thank you enough to a person who gave their life to protect all of us? We will always remember you, Professor Kitridge. I know I'll always think of you any time I see the color pink!

ravenclaw head of house
Professor Finneas Schmoe had an exceptionally difficult year as the Neo-Alliance took over Hogwarts. When he spoke up against the new anti-Muggle curriculum in the beginning of term, he was inhumanely tortured into compliance. This incident made him twitchier than ever, but he continued to show immense courage when it came to student protection. It was a sign of his reliability that many students, especially those of Muggleborn heritage, visited his office throughout the year to discuss their feelings and receive help from him. When aid arrived at Hogwarts, he sprang into action and evacuated all Ravenclaw (and Gryffindor, due to their lack of head of house) students from their common rooms to the Safe Room.
All in all, this term allowed us to see the new, bold and emotional sides to our beloved Professor Schmoe. You would be lying if you said this did not make you appreciate him more!

slytherin head of house
If you looked up 'leader' in a dictionary, a picture of Gabriela Recard's face would make a welcome addition to the word's definition. In addition to being the History Professor and Healer at Hogwarts, the blonde finds time to look after the snakes of Slytherin house. All this while being a mother and managing her own stress during a takeover at the castle. Impressed yet? You should be. One lucky yearbook scribe was able to sit down with Professor R and learn a little bit more about her experience this term.
Thanks for speaking with us, Professor Recard! Being a healer is all about helping people and this term, it seemed like the Professors weren't able to do much helping at all. How did that make you feel?
It was probably the worst I've felt in my teaching career. I had to try and juggle the fine line between doing what I could to help, while also making sure I didn't irritate the Alliance enough that they would get rid of me. As Healer I knew I was playing a vital role in keeping the kids safe and I wasn't about to let them replace me with one of their own. It was hard and a constant struggle each day!
As the Slytherin Head of House, it's your responsibility to keep the snakes out of trouble. Did you find it was more difficult this term than in terms past? How come?
Honestly, I am so proud of my Slytherin students! They all immediately stepped up to protect one another, while also trying to do what they could to help their peers. Aside from one or two occasions I found many of them knew to keep themselves out of trouble, which made my job relatively easy!
It's hard to keep a clear head in stressful situations. What did you do this term to keep yourself calm and stay focused on the tasks at hand?
A LOT of naps and self care. I found myself getting very burnt out, so I would take a nap if I had time to reset and rejuvenate, and of course lots of bubble baths!
Can you name something that makes you happy, even in the darkest of times?
My children. Emilie is off at Durmstrang and thankfully removed from all this, and my oldest son Tucker came to help at the Battle of Hogwarts. Thinking of them always makes me feel a little bit better. Same with my husband Armen as well!
Looking back on this term, would you have done anything differently?
It's so hard to say, because it's impossible to tell how my actions would have been received by Rosier and the Alliance. I truly think I did the best I could given the situation, and hopefully all the students know that, even though it didn't seem like it, I promise I was always acting in their best interest!
